After a review we may find that certain medications are no longer required or that they should be taken at a different time of the day or perhaps in a different way.

If you have medicines in the house that you no longer need, use, or are out of date, we can safely dispose of them for you. Medicines shouldn’t be thrown into general waste, so we have a special medicines bin to dispose safely of unused medicines. If you are returning controlled drugs, such as morphine, or needles, please make us aware of this when you return them. Otherwise just drop your unwanted medication into the pharmacy at any time.
The pharmacy offers the “Morning After Pill”, free of charge via the NHS. Please don’t hesitate to ask for a private consultation. The pharmacist can check it is okay for you to take the pill and give any necessary advice. The pharmacy has a consultation room to ensure privacy.
Sexual intercourse must have occurred within the previous 72 hours of taking the pill for it to work. If this is not the case, you should contact a family planning clinic or your GP.
The most common side effect of taking the pill is nausea and sickness. Vomiting is rare, however if this does happen to you within a couple of hours of taking the pill, you must speak to your pharmacist or GP.
Make life easier for yourself and let us order your prescription on your behalf. Simply let us know what repeat medicines you need, a few days before they run out and we will arrange to collect it from your Doctor's surgery.

The pharmacy offers Dosette Boxes, which make it easy to remember to take your medicines. Just give us a call, and we can arrange one for you. The service is availbale at no cost to you, and we can even arrange to deliver the boxes each week.It is important that medication is taken correctly, and on time, and dossette boxes can help ensure that this is done. Understanding what each medicine is for and how it works, is also beneficial in ensuring the maximum benefit is derived.
